Leverkusen admitted that they were considering separating from the player. "I actually feel relieved because we can hold Havertz this year," Rubi Voller told Nitro.
Voller admitted that with his great talent, Havertz was the target of a number of clubs last year.

But it admitted that they had persuaded the young man to defend Leverkusen for a longer time.

"Actually he had a lot of enthusiasts in the summer of last year. But we said that it would be very good for him to last another year, and that was the right decision."

Voller acknowledged that at the moment Havertz's contract at Leverkusen is already running low.

For this reason, his party is starting to consider a number of options for Havertz's future next summer.

"He still has a contract until 2022 and that is a classic fact. So we will see what will happen next summer."

Leverkusen is reported to have set a transfer tag for Havertz next summer.

They want around 80 million pounds for the German national team players.
