Also, be aware that the entire Frenkie family were Feyenoord fans and when the Rotterdam club came to call him, it seemed to be a dream for him. However, Frenkie was allowed to make his own decision and the Willem II club seemed to be the one that caught Frenkie's attention.
Despite the fact that Roterdam is much closer than his home than Tilburg, the club town of Willem II. In 2004, Frenkie decided to join the Tilburg club. That choice proved right because in the long run Frenkie received serious attention from Dutch football.
Together with the Willem II academy, Frenkie honed individual abilities, techniques, tactics and mentality in playing football. Besides that, Frenkie also learned things from the most difficult things to look easy.
Frenkie grew rapidly and his performance was impressive in the Willem II youth team at all levels, it made the coaching team of the team praise him. Especially when on the U-15 team, the coach Jos Borgers considers Frenkie to have extraordinary natural talent.
