Manchester United failed to advance to the quarter-finals of the Champions League after losing 0-1 to Atletico Madrid. Renan Lodi became the star of Atletico's victory in the second leg of this round of 16.

Playing at Old Trafford, Wednesday (16/3/2022) early morning WIB, Atletico won 1-0 through a goal scored by Renan Lodi in the first half. The result ensured that Atletico qualified for the next round with a 2-1 aggregate win

In that match, MU first pressed and had a chance through Anthony Elanga in the 13th minute. But Atletico goalkeeper Jan Oblak was still able to block the ball from the Elanga kick and only produced a corner.

In the second half, Atletico still tried to increase their advantage but Jose Gimenez's efforts still failed after the ball from his head was still above the MU goal.
